Effects of the SNAP-25 Mnll variant on hippocampal functional connectivity in children with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder

چکیده

Objectives Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most widespread and highly heritable neurodevelopmental disorders affecting children worldwide. Although synaptosomal-associated protein 25 (SNAP-25) a possible gene hypothesized to be associated with working memory deficits in ADHD, little known about its specific impact on hippocampus. The goal current study was determine how variations ADHD’s SNAP-25 Mnll polymorphism (rs3746544) affect hippocampal functional connectivity (FC). Methods A total 88 boys between ages 7 10 years were recruited for study, including 60 patients ADHD 28 healthy controls (HCs). Data from resting-state magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) clinical information acquired assessed. Two single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) genotyped, according which study’s findings separated into two groups: TT homozygotes (TT = 35) G-allele carriers (TG 25). Results Based rs-fMRI data, FC right hippocampus left frontal gyrus evaluated using group-based comparisons. corresponding sensitivities specificities Following comparisons patient groups, different FCs identified. When compared patients, TG had lower precuneus hippocampus, higher middle gyrus. Conclusion fundamental neurological pathways connecting via newly revealed this study. As result, may further serve as an biomarker ADHD.

Association of SNAP-25 Gene Ddel and Mnll Polymorphisms with Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

OBJECTIVE The synaptosomal-associated protein of 25 kDa (SNAP-25) gene is a presynaptic plasma membrane protein and an integral component of the vesicle docking and fusion machinery mediating secretion of neurotransmitters. Previously, several studies reported association between SNAP-25 and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). We investigated whether these SNAP-25 polymorphisms (Mn...

the effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...

Functional connectivity of the vigilant-attention network in children and adolescents with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder

The ability to maintain attention to simple tasks (i.e., vigilant attention, VA) is often impaired in attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), but the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms at the brain network level are not clear yet. We therefore investigated ADHD-related differences in resting-state functional connectivity within a meta-analytically defined brain network of 14 dist...

Connectivity supporting attention in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder

Intra-subject variability (ISV) is the most consistent behavioral deficit in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). ISV may be associated with networks involved in sustaining task control (cingulo-opercular network: CON) and self-reflective lapses of attention (default mode network: DMN). The current study examined whether connectivity supporting attentional control is atypical in chi...

Local functional connectivity suggests functional immaturity in children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder.

Previous studies have associated Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) with a maturational lag of brain functional networks. Functional connectivity of the human brain changes from primarily local to more distant connectivity patterns during typical development. Under the maturational lag hypothesis, we expect children with ADHD to exhibit increased local connectivity and decreased di...
